  Best Hole in the wall Sushi joint in LA !! I live in Bay Area Cali. But when I'm in town. I always make a trip here to Sunny's  !! Great food !! Love this place !!

  Came to eat by myself while waiting for an appointment. There was only one other person in there besides me and no A/C. The server was extremely attentive and nice to both our tables while I was there. She's probably most of the reason that I didn't give this place just one star.
  
  The food on the other hand wasn't great to say the least. I always get two rolls, the Washington and eel avocado. Every sushi place I get the same thing. But the salmon on the Washington tasted fishy like as if it wasn't fresh. I was starving so I ate the whole thing and got used to it after a while. But the eel avocado was pretty bad. The avocado was not fresh and had the "kind of bruised brown" taste. And there was pretty much no eel at all. (See the attached photo). To sum it up, I will not be returning.

  Came in and got 2 rolls, edamame, and egg rolls. When I asked for spicy mayo and eel sauce I was given a very small amount (like enough for maybe 3 dips). Upon requesting more I was informed it would be $.50 charge which I found to be ridiculous because I had never been charged before and it was 2 of us eating. Then when my egg rolls came out the center was cold. They premade egg rolls weren't even heated up properly.
  I was really disappointed by the service this time around. The server was very cold and the food wasn't even served properly.
  The food is normally okay and the servers are very attentive but today's experience left a very bad taste. Probably won't return.

  Over all everything was decent. I went for the happy hour $2 dollar beers with 3 other people. After ordering more than 4 beers, when the check arrived we were all confused to to as why the beers were more than we expected. Our waiter was very nice but didnt specify in the beginning that it was only 4 happy hour beers per table. It was specified in small lettering across the room from were we were seated on the happy hour menu. The beer being the first thing ordered she should have  also verbally informed us about this and the drinking menu should have been left at our table. The food was good. The waiter was very nice but she did forget something's that were ordered. My friend did order the takoyaki and the center was still frozen and she had to take them back so she waited longer for her order. Thanks for the decent food.

  My go to sushi spot. Everything ive ordered has always been fresh and delicious. TWO THUMBS WAY UP!!!
